FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - Columbus, OH

2005 Begins with a Bang

Columbus, OH  (April, 2005) – Spirit Avionics has just wrapped up a very busy and successful 1st quarter of the new year.  The last few months of 2004 ended strong and the 2005-work load has been almost overwhelming.  Currently, aircraft installations are being booked for late June and into the beginning of July.  With the FAA TAWS and RVSM mandates currently happening, it has been a real challenge to suit everybody’s needs, especially aircraft owners or operators who procrastinated.   Aircraft owners thought that the FAA would once again push back the mandates, even though most of the aviation community was warning otherwise.

At the end of the day, the FAA held fast and some of the owners & operators were left scrambling to find a facility that was not booked out for months on end.  Spirit did a remarkable job at doing whatever it could to get airplanes on the schedule and work with the operator’s timeline.  We really have to give our employees the credit, their numerous hours, hard work, and technical expertise kept the projects moving along and helped keep our customers satisfied.

Spirit has worked on Citations, Falcons, Lears, Hawkers, Sabers, numerous piston aircraft, and even a major 727 project in Dallas Texas all within the last 4 months.   “All in a day’s work” said Rick Ochs, “a long day’s work!”
